About The Home Society
I started The Home Society because I’m passionate about helping people understand how to buy, improve, and enjoy their space—in other words, I love everything home-related.
I bought and renovated my first house when I was 21. I remember being completely OBSESSED with looking at listings online. One day, while having coffee with my parents, my dad casually suggested, “Why don’t you just buy a home?” I laughed—how!? I was young, didn’t have much money saved, and was working a job that paid next to nothing.
Hi, I'm Jarrett
I started looking into it and realized it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought. A few months later, I bought my first place: a 1920s Craftsman bungalow in the Midwest for $120K. I later sold it for $185K—and that’s when I saw just how powerful homeownership can be for building wealth. The profit from that one sale was more than I earned in a full year at my job.
That experience changed everything. I discovered how much I loved the process, became a licensed real estate agent, and have been helping others buy and sell ever since.
For over a decade, I’ve helped tons of clients (many of whom became friends!) find homes—and in some cases, walk away with a big profit when they sold.
On the side, I’ve pursued my own real estate hobbies: I’ve bought eleven properties—some to live in, some to flip, and some to run as Airbnbs.
Between my career and personal projects, I’ve learned so much—and I want to share it all with you.
When I’m not selling or renovating, you will find me traveling, spending time with friends and family, cooking, or throwing a big party. I have lots of random hobbies, a house full of pets, and an ever-growing list of dream projects I want to tackle next.
The feeling of home is about everything you do in those walls, and everyone (and every animal) who lives there and spends time with you.
For me, it isn't home unless my pets are there, too.
